The application of floor and wall tiles is very diverse. The most common rooms where it is used are bathrooms, entries, and kitchen floors. Many floor tiles (which can also be used on walls) are available in 6″ x 6″, 12″ x 12″, 16″ x 16″, and some are available in sizes as large as 24″ x 24″. The applications for these tiles range from kitchen backsplash, shower wall, or accents.
Radiant Heat
House of Color offers a wide variety of radiant heat to be used under the tile. Along with our Nu Heat standard mat systems, we can also offer a custom mat system that will fit perfectly in the area that is being heated to avoid cold spots under the tile. These systems are available with seven day programmable thermostats, so there is no need to waste energy or money. Radiant heat is a great addition to any tile installation.
Waterproofing System
We also specialize in tiled walk-in showers. Tiling an entire shower will give you a look like no other. However, some precautions will need to observed in the waterproofing methods, by using special membranes prior to tiling, to ensure that your investment will last for many years to come. We only use the Schluter Kerdi Waterproofing system. While there are many good waterproofing systems on the market today, this is a well tested system that is guaranteed 100% waterproof.
